Does your AC drain water under the car?
Hello, I have been searching the forum, but I haven't been able to find any conclusive answer.
My question to all the 3IS owners is this, does your IS drip water after running the AC for awhile.
I am asking this dumb question, because I have not seen my IS350 ever drip water from underneath the car even after running the AC for 2 hours. The diagram that I found earlier showed that the evaporator drain line is supposed be in the middle of the car by the transmission tunnel but I haven't seen any water there.
On my rav4, it would start dripping after a few minute with the AC on. So I am wondering if there is like a collection pan or something. I just don't want it to be dripping on the frame like my rav4.

With the dripping water it really depends how much moisture there is in the cabin and what the humidity is like where you are.
You could see a lot of water, or very little.
Yes the drain is in the middle of the tranny tunnel, but that's just the port off the box.
There is a hose attached to the port that runs over towards the passenger front wheel area...so if you're looking for water, check behind the right front wheel.

Thanks for the reply. I looked under the passenger side wheel well and saw a hose. Not sure if that’s the right hose or not since it was bone dry.
I live in hawaii so the AC is almost always on. I had the ac set at 70*F while outside was 88*F.
Below low is a image of the hose.

I'm guessing you have a sunroof, cause I think that's the drain for the sunroof tracks.
Lemme see if I can find it on mine.
