I feel like there is a lot of contrary postings about the tread life of this tire on the IS. My experience was bad feathering on the inner front tires at only 4500 miles, alignment was good all throughout these miles. I got 53000 miles out of the OEM turanzas as well

The 3IS seems like it is really sensitive to alignment issues. Since I have been on my BFGoodrichs, I've been running proper alignment, and there's been no sign of inner tire wear. But on the Turanzas, I had tons of inner wear. My fronts were toast by 21,000 miles.
