Window Tint Repair
Hello everyone,
I bought my 2014 IS 350 earlier this year from a Lexus dealership and as the summer weather has arrived, the tint on my front windows is beginning to crease more and more in 3 separate places. IT's a bit of an eye sore and really the only (noticeable) cosmetic issue with the vehicle.

Does anybody have any suggestions on correcting this? Is it even worth inquiring with the dealership about since it was likely tinted before they received it?
Any help appreciated!

Others can chime in, but I doubt Lexus will do anything since the tint most likely wasn't applied by them. Unfortunately, the best thing to do is go to a reputable tint shop and get your windows re-tinted again - especially since you're seeing this in 3 different areas. I decided getting ceramic tint on my car - worth the extra $$ that IMO pays for itself, a black car parked outside in 80+ degree weather still remains relatively cool inside without the AC turned on. Plus the tint shop that did it honors a lifetime warranty of any peeling, fading, cracking, etc.
There are several different kinds of tint out there, so whatever you decide on getting, just make sure you get something quality even if it means paying a little extra. Trust me, it will save you a lot of hassle and frustration down the road. My '04 Corolla still has tint installed around 2007 that hasn't faded at all and is my daily driver. It makes me laugh every time to see people drive expensive cars with bubbling purple-faded tint, because they wanted to save $100 on a tint job.

Exactly what unioncorps said,
I have Llumar CTX 30% on my doors, Llumar CTX 20% on the rear windshield, and left my front windshield untouched. My sunroof has some generic 35% tint on it, but I rarely ever use it. It looks subtle enough to keep heat out and sleek, but doesn't make it impossible to see out of in the darkness either.

I learned to DIY tint. I have done a great job. I'd fix that in 10 mins each window. and you can too. the tint is pennies. many here are paying $300-$500 for a job. I paid $25 in materials and DIY. I'll never go to a tint shop again. AND i have a TON of tint leftover

I have to agree with this. I have been going this route for the past few years. YouTube can help in the removal process as well as the application process.

Yep.. you can buy the tint pre cut by lasers.
preparation is actually the hard part. cleaning...
the tint application itself isn't that hard.
