Default Sloppy seams in trunk inner floor

Please if any of you guys who own a 2016-2019 model is350/300/200t I am wondering if you can share photos of your inner floor on the trunk in the corners where the factory seams are. It will be next to and around the spare tire. I have a feeling Mehbe my dealership sold me a privately repaired brand new Lexus. I only ask because the plastic welds are terrible and clearly done by hand. If you guys can compare and look at my photos bs your cars it would be a great help. Thanks you all.

I am pretty sure factory would not have cover the nut and bolt with caulking. So probably it was added after. Inspect other parts for any signs.

Without checking my car I would say that looks like the factory joint sealer, especially in the first 2 pics.
Since they are all supposed to be covered by trim panels, they would never be in plain view...hence why they don't have the prettiest finish.
Same reason the paint on the inside of the car isn't clear coated...no one is going to see it and it's not an issue if it's not.

Just going by the photos, it appears to be factory. The bolt ends don’t look as though they have any sealer on them. When they go through the paint shop in many instances the sealer is applied by hand, like what you are seeing there, and not by the robots, just simply because of location of the body seams. You’ll see this a lot in the trunks and inner fender wells. The nut is covered because that is welded into place via the body weld processes for other parts to be shot onto the vehicles before paint and sealer lines. Now it’s not to say it hasn’t undergone some extra sealing after the fact in the factory, the IS is a unique unibody construct, one that has many points that are done this way. I will have a look at mine and post some pictures, but I don’t see anything really out of the ordinary or of concern.

Yeah, this is mine, bought new in ‘17, it’s just the factory sealer job, done by hand. Nothing to worry about.

Yea I know that to but normally the plastic weld is perfect line of robotic applied cocking. This was done by hand when most cars it’s a perfect 1 inch folding ridge all the way around kind of like the back of my trunk.

Yep they're human beings at the factory that simply run a brush w/ seam sealer

and that's not plastic. and it doesn't matter what it looks like it's hidden.
