chazzer - Congrats on your Tacoma - It is a great looking vehicle and while you praise the reliability of your IS, I have no doubt that your Tacoma will be just as reliable!! Great color and the TRD is a great choice I got rid of my IS about 2 weeks ago (mine was the 2017) for a 2019 RC and I still miss my IS as well, it was a great car but the RC is very similar inside so I don't feel too "out of my element" but I loved the refreshed look of the IS with its very polarizing front fascia.
Keep us posted but I am sure you will be very fond of your Tacoma

What i don't get is how can you special order a car and still not sure you want it? From a former BMW enthusiast, the only advice i can give you is that i would advise to only lease the car. I am getting a new 3er soon since i only have one payment left on my 3IS but i will be leasing. Having owned 3 BMW's in the past i would never again own one pass warranty. As much as i find many faults with Lexus and even my own 3IS, i would not hesitate to finance one of their cars and keep for the long term.

M340 is the better car compared to the G70 3.3T, only advantage is that the the G70 3.3T can be had for more more than 10k less than a base M340I, making it a real bargain but if you're after the luxury experience you won't get that with the Genesis, also the Genesis gets poor gas mileage. Though the money you save versus the M340 will cover the added expense. 3.3T is a good car, and the only G70 worth considering; back seat leg room in horrendous in the G70 if that matters to you.

I ordered it because dealer gave me pretty good discount almost 10% off before incentive so I thought what the heck that would give me 2 more months to think about. Sale guy said I didn’t have to buy the car it will be dealer’s inventory until I take delivery. I didn’t add any individual options anyway so it’s not really a fully loaded car. Now that you mentioned about BMW reliability I’m even more hesitant to get into it. I never lease my cars since I tend to keep my cars longer than people generally lease.

Congrats! I had a 2011 Tacoma and loved it. I miss it regularly and would love another.
Doesn't hurt that the Tacoma and IS350 now share an engine. Great trucks!
