Question What would be a good price to sell at ? IS200t

All,

I am having a hard time trying to figure out what to sell my car at. It's a L/Certified Blue/black 16' IS200t. Would love to have feedback from you guys, the pros.

It's never been wrecked. In very meticulous shape. 30k miles. I know most buyers won't pay for mods, but here's what I've done to it...

Android head unit swap (4x4shop.ca) with Apple CarPlay + Android Auto addon (950$)
TTI Stage 2 + tune (1,200$)
PPE High flow GESI Cat + Downpipe (1000$)
ARK GRiP full cat-back resonated exhaust 3" (1400$)
AEM Cold Air intake (350$), FTP charge pipe (220$)
H&R 20mm hub centric wheel spacers (200$)
StopTech drilled rotors + ceramic brake pads (no dust) (500$),
Painted red calipers /w Lexus logo
fog lamps from Japan (150$)
APEXi SMART Accel Throttle Controller (200$)
All season weather mats (150$)
Kicker low profile subwoofer + amp (300$)

I've got it on autotrader now for 26k. Is this reasonable?

Take off all addons and sell only empty car. You will earn more money.

That's a good idea. I put all of the bolt ons in myself, and it takes quite some time! I would have hoped there would be a market for someone wanting these things done prior to them buying the car.

I'd also be interested in a few parts if you end up parting out.

Yep was going to say... return to stock. Nobody wants to buy a modded car. And the ones that do will penny pinch you til kingdom come.

Lexus deemed my Silver/Red 16 200t F sport to have a value of $22,700. It had less than 30k miles. It was listed by a Toyota dealer after they bought it at auction for $26,800. I doubt they got that much for it though. Maybe $24-25.

That's a good point. They won't know how I took care of it. I'll probably still list at 24,900$ and if no one bites, I'll keep it.

Not really interested in parting out the car, but thanks for the interest!

This is why after 18 cars, most modified, some heavy, I learned that you never get back what you put into a car. So I tend to mod less and less with each car. Usually small stuff like light bulbs. Unmodding my IS before returning it was a major PITA. time i'll never get back. Too old for that S

I want to buy a stock car and just CRUISE. MAYBE change a bulb or two.

You're not wrong. The car has never been wrecked and I have all service records with 5k oil changes with Mobil 1. I hope to find someone that appreciates it. In Nashville.

At the very least remove the tune. people will associate that with abused/burnt/red hot turbos and will not want to risk what's likely a $25,000 engine because a tune is on it. someone buying a car this expensive will have warranty on their mind and as soon as they hear tune, they're going to run for the hills and you're never selling this car. just some extra advice now that I think about it.

I haven't owned a great number of cars, 6 I think, but I've helps several others find cars.

Personally I almost without exception disregard any car with any mods at all. Even aftermarket wheels sometimes.
Someone who mods their car is much more likely to drive harder on their car than someone who doesn't.

Why would I buy from a seller who probably drives their car more spirited when I can get one stock from a drive who was more concerned with mpg, for example.

Yeah I hear you not gonna be easy taking off those mods but at least you'll get something back for them!

I'm in my mid 20s and I've already come to that LOL. All the slamming exhaust stuff etc were in my younger 20s....

Yeah my last IS was only 1/2" drop. and the car before that (a CT F Sport) also half inch drop using Lexus lowering springs. at most i'll do a conservative drop. never ever slam. i slammed in my mid 20s at latest. no more!
