Default Is f

Yesterday I saw a new style Lexus IS with the new grill and everything that was badged IS F and it had quad exhaust just like the RC F. The exhaust was in the exact same layout as the RC F. Is this a real car or did someone modify an IS 350 or something? The badge would be easy enough but the quad exhaust threw me off.

Where did you see it? Maybe if you posted a pic we could form an opinion.😉

It was on the highway, no pic unfortunately. I made sure to get a good look at the back end and then pass it to see the front because I was stumped.

Sounds like someone modified a 350 to look like an IS F.

maybe it's an isf with aftermarket tails (looks like 3rd gens) + custom 3rd gen front bumper.

That's possible although I think it was the right proportions to be a modern IS with quad exhaust and rear diffuser aftermarket. I really wish they would have made a 2 door version of the IS. I love the look of the IS but not the size of a 4 door. The RC is a bit bulky IMO. Oh well, it had me dreaming.

Tail lights and the body line they follow into the rear passenger doors would give it away pretty quickly if it were a 3IS. I think the IS-F is slightly wider than the normal IS, not sure anyone makes a 3IS style bumper and grill for it.

The LF-CC concept car that ended up becoming the IS is essentially a 2-door IS. I think they should have put some version of it into production as a coupe. I find it better looking than the RC. The spindle grill proportions on the LF-CC and current IS are probably the best implementation of that design, I think. Starting to get really exaggerated with the new refreshes on the ES and some of the other models, needs to be toned back a bit.

Oh yeah, this thing is nice. I like the way it looks a lot. For some reason I love the lines of the IS. Because of that I think white looks great on them. The black grill offers amazing looking contrast. On the RC white doesn't look that great because its body lines are not as beautiful IMO.

You may be talking about something like his...skip to 3:05 or look at the thumbnail. I think he mentioned it in one of his videos (brand of his diffuser, can't recall which specific one, you can do some digging if you want the same one)
