2014 IS250 Radio Question P10433 swap to another model
So apparently 2 dealers told me that my circuit is fried and I need a new unit. I got the p10433 but wanted to see if I can just buy one on eBay from another year (maybe 2015 - whatever) and install it.
Just wanna confirm that the dealer is correct that I can't use another radio model from other IS models for my car. Thanks!

If you're getting the black screen or constant reboots, then the head unit needs replacement.
You would need a head unit with the same faceplate ID...it doesn't matter what year or model it comes out of, once it's the same faceplate ID.
The 2015 should be the same faceplate ID as yours.
Keeping in mind that you cannot use a Navi head unit in a non-navi vehicle, and vice versa. The faceplate ID's will be different.
Also when the IS went to the bigger display, those units will have a different faceplate ID, and you can't use those.
Also you can't use a Mark Levinson head unit in a non-Mark Levinson equipped vehicle, and vice versa.
So after that lengthy and confusing explanation, the simple answer is yes, you can only use the faceplate ID in your vehicle that is in there currently.
eBay would be a good place to start looking.

Unfortunately there is no aftermarket replacements...the infotainment system is so integrated with the vehicles that audio shops won't even touch it.
The most I've seen done is the Android display upgrade, but that's about it.
Another member did a conversion from the 2014-16 head unit and screen to the 2017+ versions (bigger display).
It's a fair bit of work, and you need the necessary harnesses to go along with the parts.
I realize none of this is in any way is any good news.
I checked eBay.ca and there's one unit for $2400 CAD shipped...so basically $1800 USD.

The P10433 is from the very early production of 2014 vehicles.
Later in the 2014 production i believe it was replaced by P10435.
What is the ID of the one you found on eBay?

From the list you provided above of ID numbers, for sure you can't use P10998.
Online information indicates that P10998 is for the Mark Levinson (15 speaker) system, to which you have the Standard Audio (8 speaker) system.
Radios P11010 is a US spec radio for Hawaii, Guam, and Puerto Rico.
You may run into a language issue and/or Map issue where you may need a new micro SD card that is for your region.
The radio should plug in and function properly otherwise.
P10762 is an RCF radio for a 10 speaker system.
Another member swapped an IS P10435 (Canadian spec standard audio without Navigation radio) for the P10762 and the radio did work.
They did need to get a new micro SD Map card...along with a GPS antenna.
You may run into a language issue though.

The P10433 I believe is the North American equivalent of the P10443.
I can't see the part number in the picture, but it's either 86804-53210 or 86804-53211.
If it's 86804-53210, then it's from the very early production of the 2014 vehicles, which means it could also fail.
If it's 86804-53211, that is the replacement for 86804-53210, which they used in later 2014 production vehicles.
You will also need the micro SD card for the unit, which is another couple hundred dollars.
The price is somewhat high for a used unit.
Do you know the price of your unit at your local Lexus dealer?
The unit should plug in and work...but you would still need the micro SD card as it indicates it doesn't come with one...and you can't use the one from your current radio, it would work in the used unit.
