Ok. The oem suspension was beyond 200 km/h a little „nervous“. I was lucky to keep on speed for 35km. I didn’t felt unsafe or scary at all. Now I got a ST XTA an it’s a different world...the car is completely stable an keep in lane.

Didn't really mean to go as fast as I did, was just trying to pass a bunch of cars on the highway, but before I knew it I was at 110MPH and didn't even realize it. Surprisingly the car felt just as stable at that speed as it does at 80, but then again I was on a straightaway and wasn't about to try changing lanes at that speed.

In the desert at 130mph and lane changed. Felt stable as 80mph. Car is great at high speed. The pull was pretty hard till 120ph and then it was a steady climb.

The car is governed at 141 mph and I've hit it about twice on my way to work, which is an open country road with no traffic. Biggest danger would be an animal crossing.

I‘ve done a lot of highway/ freeway driving the last time (Los Angles to San Francisco). Your roads suck! Some are in a very good condition but the most don’t allow higher speeds because the poor condition.
Just asking– driving a lowered car in parts of L.A and S.F means suicide. You can’t enter gas station, malls or even a Jack in the box without loosing your bumpers. My ride here is a Ford SUV an we got touched 2–3 times with the nose..

I reached 125 or so, not trying and the car felt like I could of been at 85.

Used to be on my must-do list to hit the limiter on any car just not anymore....but you guys got me thinking about it... thanks

This thread reminds me my idea of fast is alot different then most people's ha even though I drive pretty casual these days.

That's the thing about this thread: it's THE fastest we've ever been. On the daily, I drive "pretty casual" too. But, when I go down a good back-road, I flip the go-fast switch.

I think it'd be interesting to hit the limiter, but I'd have to be absolutely certain that it'd be safe and I wouldn't get in trouble...

If I was on your awesome roads out there I'd probably be more tempted to try! Where I'm at there's at least 2-3 people getting a ticket everyday on my way home but my primary concern over that is safety...it's almost never really safe. 100-120 is easy but faster...kind of reckless. It takes our cars too long to get there... It's too fast for too long.

My buddy hits 150mph just about daily but he drives a V12 bi-turbo...he's there in an instant then slows back down. Not barreling down the road at 100, 110, 120, 130mpg etc for miles.

I tested the limiter on my old SC300 at ~145mph down the center of a 2 lane road (from San Fran to SD). Middle of the night, cop pulled out behind me for about 10 secs, I didn't show him any brake lights and he pulled back over to the side of the road. So the trick is...just go faster lol.

Speaking of awesome roads, I should have another little road trip coming up in a couple of weeks... Planning to post about that in Car Chat. Won't be in the IS this time, but will be in a Camaro SS convertible. Should be interesting.

I shudder to think what speeds I would reach if I owned one of those... 460 horsepower is a lot of power.

That should be fun. You gonna rent it?

A neighbor rents his Corvette zo6 to help offset his payments I assume. On my to-do list.

Yeah I am renting it through Turo. In fact. this one: https://turo.com/us/en-us/car-rental.../camaro/663352

Will be interesting how a car like that compares next to the IS, which I have driven on similarly-twisty roads...

Nice. Going to browse through that site as well, never had heard of it.

Curious how it would handle, Not sure why but I always assumed not so good on those cars. But, I'm wrong now that I look at it.
That car's about the same weight as the IS I believe (even though looks heavier) and wheel base is a few inches wider. And gonna kill on the straights.

Anyways I'll look for it in Car Chat.
