Default Can I skip this 45,000 service?

I don't see anything that really needs to be done since my car is running fine and was wondering if I can wait until 50k for the oil change. Only replacement is the smart key battery which I'm assuming I can do easily myself? I also can't rotate tires since it's staggered.

Rotate tires and adjust tire pressures as required

Replace smart key battery

Reset maintenance reminder light

Check installation of driver's floor mat

Inspect and adjust all fluid levels

Inspect axle shaft boots

Inspect ball joints and dust covers

Inspect body

Inspect brake lines and hoses

Inspect differential oil

I only take my car in for service every 10k miles, the 5k service is a waste of your money. At my dealership, the 5k mile service is like $86, and the 10k service is about $90. The 5k service is an inspection, and they'll replace your key battery if needed. The 10K service is all that plus an oil change. The 5k service makes no sense to me, and my dealer agreed, so they showed me how to reset the 5k maintenance reminder so I can reset every time it comes on. Just start taking your car in for service every 10k miles and skip the 5k services.

Yep most of that you can DIY in two seconds. The idea of going to the dealer so they can "check" your floormats is cringey. i'd just do the oil change when due and not make extra trips for all that other stuff.

This always cracked me up when I see this as part of the "recommended" services at specific intervals. So you'd have a tech look at the floormats and tell just you if they're on correct or out of place or missing? Guess it'd be another excuse for a higher invoice at the dealer... lol

Off-topic but I had a 10K complimentary service done since I've owned my car a little over a year now, but with barely 1300 miles on it. I had to come back again because the tech missed 1 entire quart of oil and the dash threw a "low engine oil" indicator.

Inspect differential oil

Is there a need to check oil level and refill so it's above middle on min/max?

Can you actually check differential oil without draining it? Is there a dipstick in there?

I plan on keeping my car as long as it drives under its own power assuming my lease is a better experience than my previous vehicle. I decided not to do 5k services. Just some checks (brakes, tires, fluids) and oil measurement of my own. Here’s my maintenance plan I created based off Lexus recommended maintenance, but with some things added that I felt Lexus missed. I may or may not be a Type-A...

Every 10k miles
  1. Replace engine oil and filter
  2. Replace cabin air filter
  3. Multi-point inspection
    1. Rear differential oil
    2. Drive belts
    3. Ball joints
    4. Steering
    5. Suspension
    6. All fluids
    7. Brakes
    8. Tires
Every 30k miles
  1. Replace brake fluid
  2. Replace engine air filter
Every 40k miles
  1. Replace spark plugs
Every 50k miles
  1. Replace intercooler coolant
  2. Replace engine coolant
  3. Replace transmission fluid
  4. Replace rear differential oil
