Default Question for those with RSR HALF DOWN Springs.

For those running on RSR Half Down springs, is the body roll and ride quality noticeably firmer? I know the drop is minimal so not expecting a whole lot of difference from stock but, i'd like to know if indeed it is a noticeable difference or if it's just a placebo like "oh i'm on lowering springs, so it's definitely firmer" that we tell ourselves. haha.

I bought these on an impulse purchase shortly after buying the car and i haven't decided whether i really want to put them on or not if there's no significant or noticeable difference in handling of the car, i'd rather just leave the car alone. The goal for me is reduce the body roll a bit more and lessen the fender gap because i was planning on getting 19's but...some things have changed and those plans may go out the window.

FYI, if it matters it's for a 2014 IS350 f sport. I bought the car used few months ago.

By definition, a lowering spring has to be firmer because it needs to do the same amount of work but with less travel. Assuming the spring is designed correctly. So with my Tein H-Techs (equivalent to the half down), the ride was noticeably firmer. It did the little mini-bounces as you drive on flat road. Immediately noticeable. But I got used to it. So there's a point of comparison for you if you want to look at Tein H tech vs. RSR half down. If you see people are saying the RSRs are softer (or just look up the spring rates actually) then you'll have a better idea.

Honestly just get the Lexus F Sport blues. I bet it has the best ride. Unless you really want firmer.

I have half downs, but I have had them on for so long that I honestly can't remember how it felt stock.
It definitely helped with wheel gap, especially when my 19's are on the car.

I have those and created perfect amount if firmness. Not so much that a bump while cornering is going to throw me off, but enough that the car handles like a true sports car.

Can't say I agree with some that the car should have came that way , but it's just right for me.

Agree with Homer & doodle...have had them on for years now, and don't recall how the original ride was. But I can say the ride with the half downs has been good and nothing to complain about. Wheel gap was reduced enough for me, ride feels very sporty w/o sacrificing ride quality.

Thanks for the replies and info everyone! That’s all I needed to hear. As long as the ride was improved then it’s a go. 😁👍
