Default Voice command question - shorten instructions?

A question about the voice commands on my 2014 IS350. When I activate the voice command option with the steering wheel button, I get a long explanation of how to use the voice command system that at the very end states you can ask for help as well.

Is there any way to short-cut this set of instructions? Since I know how to use the voice system, I don't need to hear this long instruction every time. I'd like to have the system just jump listening for a command without the instructions.

Thanks.

Yes, this can be done. Do you have the owners manual in the glove box. The fat owners manual and also the smaller quick guide one both contain instructions on how to deactivate the voice command assist or whatever it's called which will do exactly what you are are wanting to do, If I was home right now I would have found the page for you and posted it but i don't have access to it right now.

I'm pretty sure you press the voice command button...then as Soon as it starts into the short story just press the voice command button again...then speak your command.
Can pres the button anytime while the system is talking to silence it and prompts you to speak.

I just disabled mine. "Voice prompt" in the settings menu.

I'll have to see if I can find this. Per another recommendation, I checked the 2014 Nav manual, nothing listed. On a hunch, I also checked the 2015 (online). In the 2015 it lists pressing the button a second time to stop the prompting. This works!

Thanks for the help.

Press once for her voice, press again for yours. While turning off the voice prompts
works there are times when you may actually want her to guide you the first time into
a new command sequence. "Say what you see" on screen helps...sometimes.
If have a Navigation equipped 2015 and want much more responsive voice commands
for Nav destinations then you should download and use Lexus Enform App Suite (not 2.0)
