2020 IS....what a dissapointment
No re-design. Not even a new infotainment system. Looks like everyone will have to wait a full year again. What are they doing at Lexus?

2018, 2019 and 2020 are the same car and that is a mixed bag for folks, myself I am glad my new 2018 is an old design because it means the issues are mostly ironed out. I prefer to drool over first year redesigns than become a test subject for them.

The 2IS ran from 2006-2013...8 years worth of basically the same vehicle.
The 3IS started 2014, and will likely end 2020...so we managed to shave 1 year off...lol
In both cases it's kinda long when you have a vehicle like a Camry that gets a refresh every 5-6 years

If residuals are down, not sure who will be buying the 2020 IS. I guess people who get offered deep deep discounts on them on a finance. They'll still be paying $800 a month. I suppose a big MSRP discount can affect the lease as well. Last year models always sell the worst anyway.

The rumor mill this year kept saying "supposedly" 2020 would be the remodel, but nothing ever came through. Sucks...I am trying to get rid of my 328i. It's a clash between waiting for the new re-design and dealing with the potential first-year bugs, or just caving in and getting the final year model. SoCal dealerships have zero models with the Mark Levinson package.

2nd gen ran from 06-13. Idk that I'm all that disappointed they haven't come with a 4th gen yet. Looking forward to it though then 2017-18 may become more affordable which I wouldnt mind upgrading from my 14.

I spoke with a few dealerships months ago and was told by one in particular that Lexus is focusing on pushing the UX and revamping its SUVs like the NX and RX, so their guess was that there wouldn't be a focus on the IS in this coming year. This obviously has to do with market demand for more crossover stuff now, but I also wonder if the IS is in limbo (I remember there were rumors that it'd be discontinued alongside the since-confirmed GS).
