Water behind door 2018 IS300
Hey guys,
I have taken my driver door panel off a few times to solve a rattle. I ended up finding and fixing the rattle and I replaced the vapor barrier in the process. Today, after a driving the car in the rain the last two days I decided to take off the panel to make sure the replacement vapor barrier was installed correctly. I was happy to see that everything looked perfect. However, I was surprised to see several droplets of water behind the vapor barrier. To make sure it was nothing to do with my installation, I removed the passenger door panel (which has never been removed) and was surprised to see even more water behind the 'factory' installed vapor barrier. The water is actually 'pooling' at the bottom of the barrier where the plastic meets the rubber butyl. Attaching some photos, photos are all taken from the passenger side..Anyone have any idea if this amount of water is okay? Is there a cause for concern?
Thanks as always!

yeah that's fine. water has to go somewhere. it's a car. lol. the water comes from the outside where the window meets the outside seal and is simply doing stuff that water does. the seal is working as intended. for those of you that live in wet climates, water is pooling and saturating all over the place. the only place it shouldn't go is the actual car interior.
you're fine, nothing to see here =) enjoy the car
ps that last pic it's hard to tell but the vapor barrier looks kind of high. try to pull it down so it seals. you need a seal around the entire perimeter
