Default i think it’s pretty good.

A friend had a 2018 RX 350 with most of the add ones including navigation. He paid 3,000 down, Had a monthly payment of a little over 900, I think for 42 months. I thought it was an awfully expensive deal, but he was happy with the car he really wanted.
These lease deal numbers seem to be all over the place. His dealer was in Bellevue, Washington. Does it change much between dealers? Wonder if any one of them is consistently “good.”

I bought a RX450 hybrid on a 2% loan. I think I did as well anyone could. And I love the car.

2019 IS300 F Sport
42 months lease
1st month down with no other fees paid
10K miles a year
Gross Cap at $42.2k
Residual $19.2k
Rent charge $2607.78
No navigation
No dealer window tint
No added bells and whistles
$513.92 monthly

$514 a month for a New 2019 IS300 F-Sport is a great deal! Assuming you are happy with the way you were treated. A great deal don’t always mean cheaper. Cheaper is not better. As long as you are happy than it’s a great deal! I’ll pay more anyway to get better service.
It was probably one of my favorite car buying experiences, to be totally transparent. And, yes, I agree about the happiness overall. I was treated with respect by the sales person, finance guy, sales manager, and owner, and everyone was pleasant to deal with. 😊

Haha! Thanks, brother!
I didn't pay anything more than the 1st month payment. So, definitely good on that. That's all I aimed for to begin with anyway - to find out whether my deal was fair to great. 😊

There’s plenty of videos on YouTube and websites on google that’ll explain why leasing is a scam. There is also plenty of videos explaining why new cars is a scam. A simple google search and you could’ve came out on top with a much better car. Or the exact car you want but way cheaper and it’ll actually be yours in the end.

Ya, thanks for the kind and encouraging words here. As it is obvious, everything is relative. RXs are nice rides for sure and all the bells and whistles can add up just the IS I got.

And, just my 2 cents... but it is all up to us to balance between luxury and how much to pay.

For future reference, you may wish to do extensive pricing research BEFORE entering into any deal. Isn't it a little late to do so afterwards? So. it is what it is. No use crying over spilt milk. Sharpen up next time, if you care about your hard-earned money. If you don't care....

I agree with you in respect of 'BEFORE' and not after. It is undeniable some costs could have be reduced/eliminated and that I don't have the entire knowledge. But honestly, nobody knows much unless they've walked it themselves.
But this experience has earned me exciting outlook in life related to the future leases. Lol!
For certain, I haven't cried milk at all. In fact, I have been drinking it figuratively speaking. Lol!
Knowing it wasn't the sharpest, I wanted to get feedback. And like I said, it's been an awesome experience despite of some people's snide remarks. And, for you all who's encouraged me along the way, of course - I thank you especially!

I always buy used, low mileage. I let someone else break it in/ride out the valuation for me and pick it up many times half what original MSRP was. Perhaps I will get yours in a few years. Take care of it for me!

Hello. I saw your post and I HAD to reply back. Did you Lease/Hire your Lexus AFTER October 1, 2019? If so, there was a $4000 REBATE plus you could have gotten the car for near next to Invoice and possibly the Dealer Hold Back charges negotiated. The 2019 models of the IS, are basically the last lot that Lexus are trying to sell as soon as they can, to make way for the 2020 models.

The Lexus dealer SHOULD have given this rebate to you, if they were an HONEST dealer? Did you discuss or did they let you know at all? I do business with Toyota and just out of curiosity, I rang up my Toyota contact guy and asked him about all the incentives available for 2019 Lexus IS models.

Even though I do business with Toyota and Lexus in Great Britain and Europe, I am shocked at the way the auto dealers work here in the USA. I am in the Dallas area, near the TMC head office in Plano, but I would be absolutely shocked if you did not get that $4000 rebate and/or any other incentives. I always tell my mates in America NEVER EVER make a deal with a dealer based on the MONTHLY PAYMENT. You should be negotiating your GROSS CAPITALISED COST (basically the final price of the car). Then look at your payment after.

The Gross Cap Cost of your car at $42,200 means your almost literally paid retail price for it? I don't mean to stir things up, but everyone should negotiate the best deal and if Lexus is offering a rebate for Leasing with LFS and it is $4000, then you SHOULD get it!

No problems for 'stiring things back up'. This thread I figured would help a lot of people out as I couldn't find this information for me. So, very much appreciated.

On paper, I did get the 4k rebate. But, I also recognize additional fee of 2600 they tached on - the rental charge. I guess the monthly is just a by-product of my negotiation. Lol!

Lol yeppppp. Somewhere, sometime a '16 LX570 will have my name all over it. Just have to be patient. A $90,000 Lexus feels every bit of it even when used. I'm coming for one, lol.

I don't know where you live but in So Cal. almost all lexus dealers will discount the IS 300 by 20%, which includes rebate and dealer discount. So basically you can get a $44,000 IS 300 Fsport for alittle over $35,000.

Do they just offer it or do you have to ask for it?

FWIW when I lived out there the Beverly Hills Lexus dealer said 85% of their cars "sold" are leased.
