novaman64, it might be nice to add your car spec to your signature. I had to check your profile to see that this was an IS 200t (never popped the hood on one, and it sure looks different than my 350 !).

So for the life of me I cant figure out where to do the signature at. I poked around the user CP and didnt see anything.
In other new, dropped my car off at the stereo/tint shop at lunch, picked it up after work. Looks killer... 3M, 20% rear, 35% fronts. Had the same thing done on my truck a few years ago, love 35% on the fronts, can still see out the mirrors at night backing up, but keeps the brutal sun off you while driving during the summer.

That looks great! I just got my 2016 IS F Sport two days ago. Being as the cold weather is coming (cold being a relative term here in the Bay Area), I'll probably hold off on
tinting until the spring. It does come with a privacy tint in any case, which is fine for now.

I can't wait to get my IS tinted once I get back to the States! Here in Germany you can't have any tint on the front windows and that's why I haven't tinted any of the back windows. It would bother me to have all the back windows tinted and the front two being plain.

You need to check the laws of the state you are ‘coming back to’, as it is illegal in some states to have tint (or limit the amount of tint) on the front windows.

I have mine at 5% in the back, 10% in the front. 😂

Yeah I’m fully aware of that, also I hope you know I’m talking about the front door windows and not the windshield, it’s pretty much illegal everywhere to have front windshield tint except some states allow a piece at the top but I think it looks tacky.

CA its questionable on legality to have tint on the front driver/passenger window. It used to be completely illegal, but they passed a law that it can be required for medical necessity (if you are light sensitive). This state is a circus. That being said Ive had it on my truck for years now without issue, if you ever get bothered for it, its a fix it ticket, peel it off, or go get a doctors note.

Yes, I just meant the side windows. Agee that the strip is tacky on the windshield.
Was gonna wash and wax my car today but somebody broke into my garage and stole all my car cleaning, detailing stuff. Had about 7-8 bottles of Meguiars stuff ranging from liquid wax, to exterior detailer, interior detailer, quik wax, leather spray etc. Sadly gonna rebuy everything and not store it in my garage now.... And I was annoyed how just 4 days ago I bought my Meguiars Liquid Wax, it hasn't even been opened it, and it got stolen.....
