Default Another spacers thread...for those running 15mm spacers

I've been running 25mm Eibach spacers in the front and 20mm in the rear with ARK lowering springs for a few years with no issues. I've used Bridgestone and Continental tires in the past. However, I recently installed Dunlop tires and now have rubbing issues. These tires seem to have a thicker rim guard which is causing the rub issues. I plan to move my 20mm spacers to the front and install 15mm spacers in the rear. I've read some mixed comments about people successfully installing 15mm spacers without shaving the stock studs and people needing to shave the stock studs. My question to those running 15mm spacers with F sport wheels, did you have to shave the stock studs? I have a 2014 IS350 F Sport.

I have 15mm in the rear as that's what fit on my tire setup at that time.

It was a good fit did not need to shave studs.

My personal experience was that I DID have to shave my studs for 15mm spacers. It was only the “tips” that needed shaving. At first glance it looked to be ok but i was able to slide a credit card between the wheel and spacer which is a big no no obviously. I’m not sure if brands matter, it seemed the fsport wheel dimples just weren’t deep enough. These are the spacers I used btw. They seem great and have had no issues so far.

First post btw! This forum has been very helpful and it’s time to contribute!

The rear fenders on the 3IS can't be rolled...they are already factory rolled...there is literally nothing left to roll.
The front can be rolled a little.
