The Toyota 75W85 LT fluid is fully synthetic...even though it doesn't explicitly state that.
The front diff. fluid is not as far as I know.
Hmmm do you happen to have the IS 300/200t specs for the rear diff?

@Flash5 It's the same specs for ALL 3IS models. However, if you have a 350 with the Limited Slip diff. in the rear then the fluid is 75W85 "LX", not "LT". LX fluid is basically LT fluid with a friction modifier added for the LSD.

I meant the capacity haha. Is it the same for the 350 and the 300?

Yes..the capacity is the same. The IS250 is the only one that the rear diff. capacity is slightly less.

Got it, thanks for the info! I'll probably just go with the oem Toyota gear oil. I just gotta source it here in Germany. The local Toyota dealership I'm sure can sell it to me.

Mobil 1 gear oil is 10$ less a quart where I am vs the Toyota gear oil..would you switch under those circumstances?

If the Mobil 1 is full synthetic I would. Why not? I would use Mobil 1 or Redline if it was cheaper where I'm at.

Mobil 1 doesn't have 75W-85.
Only Redline and Toyota have readily available 75W-85 GL5 oil.

One of the best diff lubes is Amsoil. Synthetic oil gels less with age, so running 75w90 is a perfect replacement. But it is pricey. I just paid $18/Qt.

the cleanest and fastest way to refill the diff is with a 1/2” tube and funnel.

Ravenol carries every oil your Lexus will ever need.

Decided to DIY change the transmission fluid when it comes due and it seemed important to have the AT at the correct temp. Found this app that has the ATF pan temperature, which might help some. Also, just a quick question, I change my engine oil myself but would be attempting to change the ATF and Rear Diff oil for the first time. Are both of those easier or harder than changing of EO? Thanks.

Transmission same thing. Get the the washers for the bolts and fluid yourself, have a qualified independent mechanic do the job. It’s only about an hour of work.
Sasnuke has posted the factory procedure for the job, let me know if you’d like it.
I just hit 51k miles (2016 AWD IS300). I'd like to get this done. Going to order all the necessary items.

Anybody in MD have an independent Lexus guy/shop they can recommend? Please DM me - I don't want to distract from the main topic here. Thanks in advance.

If you have lifetime powertrain warranty would you leave it alone or do drain and fill?

depends...if you’re going to sell it with warranty remaining then don’t bother, if you think you’ll drive and keep it after the warranty do it.
