lease ends. moving on.
turned it in under-mileage and in great condition...$148 final bill. loved the car but missed the hp. got a kia stinger gt. more room in the back seat and the hatch is way more practical than the trunk. better ride. more bang for the buck option wise. it looks like this one. good luck to all. will post an intake for sale.

Congrats on your new ride!
The stingers are pretty cool, especially the performance trim ones, seen a few in person, they look cool and have plenty of power, but then I saw the price tag on them, that's what turns me off, other than the fact that it's a KIA, which I do know KIA has improved quality wise over the years, but it's still no Toyota or Honda, and I like to keep cars a long time. I'm sure they are cool cars, but for $50,000k+ you can get way more car/luxury/quality for that amount of $. Just my opinion.

Congrats! I love the Stinger!
Enjoy it. It's a blast to drive!
I almost bought one to replace my 2015 GS. About a year ago when I was looking at them you could easily get about $8-10k off of a GT2, making them a great value. I had the dealer at $42k for a $52k GT2, but they couldn't get the color I wanted and after months of waiting, I moved on. There are great deals to be had on them so you don't have to pay the $50k list.

yes...it kicks *** (twin-turbo 6). kia/hyundai/genesis have as good a reliability rating as lexus the last few years i believe. as for options a stinger offers more than an IS does. price? as you found out they're making deals on them. i specifically didn't want a sunroof so i had to get a base GT. mine came out to $32k. here's a pic of my car on the dealer's lot a few weeks ago...
I just picked up a Hyundai as out 2nd car and my research I gathered some feedback on Kia as well. The owner experience in regard to reliability does sound an awful lot like those from us Lexus/Toyota owners. Review sites have good things to say as well. Of course, they would not have built the same credibility yet, but they seem like they're on the way. My CPO Hyundai came with 60k bumper to bumper and 100k drivetrain warranty.

Reflectors are required by law, correct. Some manufacturers integrate them and some have separate pieces. They're an archaic law incase your tail lights go out, which was probably common with wonky filament bulbs in the 70s and 80s. Now today we have rows of LEDs that light up like a spaceship, which likely makes light failure a rare occurrence. OP can place a tastefully shaped/cut red reflective sticker somewhere on his tail lamp, or partially block off the reflector, assuming he'd want to comply with some inspection that would never happen in CA.
I'm all for following the laws, especially safety ones, but I can't really see (haha) the actual need for reflectors. The chance they'd actually specifically come into play in a safety situation some day is pretty much zero. But nevertheless, it is still a law. I feel though it's more of a law that car manufacturers install them rather than owners keep them. I don't know of any officer that's going to notice you're missing reflectors then cite you for it.
So as stickler as I am about these things in general, i'm neutral on this one. if it were me, i'd probably vinyl wrap 85% of it and leave a little reflective bit on the end. Or find some other creative way to mount a reflector.
