Will the 2021 Lexus IS be the All-New Redesign?

Yeah, I'm really hoping the timing estimates (although no one can guarantee anything, of course) are right. I was ready to get a 2020 only to be utterly disappointed that Apple CarPlay was NOT added to the model. Hopefully the new interior will mimic the current UX/ES language, which I think looks much better. And I pray a heads-up display will be available, because my 328i really spoils me with that thing. My only fear is first-year model issues like carbon buildup that we've seen historically with some models, but...what can you do. I don't want to settle with purchasing a car that is outdated looking and without current tech.

It's a nice design but they don't suit the car though.
I remember everyone (including me) thought this generation IS was *****ing ugly when it came out. The design grew on me since, and has surprisingly aged better than expected.
They should make a 2.5L inline 4 as the base model engine instead of that silly 2.5L V6 which is slower than a 2007 Nissan Altima and the 350 should be a 3.5L inline 6.

Some better quality renders. If that is what the redesign will look like, they should probably tone back that diffuser. Also deleting that character line that comes down from the bottom corner of the tail light on the quarter panel down to the bumper cover. The appearance would be improved significantly, in my view.

I love the current 3IS design...with a few minor aesthetic upgrades...with everything you said...what would really blow everyone out the water..is if Lexus made the 4IS compete directly with Tesla!...like fully electric long-range....and powerful. No one would see that coming...and would definitely sell.

HORSE POWER, oh and actual aftermarket support. Looks and reliability have been there but after the 1st gen it’s like they got upset with consumers modding their vehicle. The 1st is set some trends in motion and when people requested a manual transmission it happened. 4IS needs to get back to its roots. Engines should be 4U-gse, B58 and either a V6 or V8.
