IS350 Shifting in traffic

The 8 speed in my car shifts smooth 99% of the time in stop and go traffic, only occasionally will I feel the shift between 1st and 2nd. Usually that's either while in sport mode due to I'm assuming torque convertor lock up, or if in normal mode under throttle while accelerating from a slow creep. It's pretty rare.

I can say the car feels much smoother and shifts are more crisp after the reset. Another benefit is that the car had been lagging in shifting back to D after manual downshifts. This is now significantly better.

ive reset ecu, and I’ve done a total of 4 drain n refill transmission procedures since getting the car. Just the way it shifts. Other than a 1-2 shift at slower speeds it’s buttery smooth and I’ve never had any problem with how it operates, minus the real slow paddle shifting delay.

I've noticed in traffic the shifting on my rear drive IS350 is a bit odd. It's not slipping, but its like it forces it into the next gear from 1-2 somewhat abruptly, and its a lot less smooth than 3-4 shifts.
It's only at low speeds, in traffic. The throttle can seem a bit, maybe jumpy, on occasion in the same conditions. In normal stop and go (not traffic) conditions and harder accelerations it is totally fine. So far I've chalked it up to having a quirky 8 speed transmission that likes to shift early. My car has roughly 19,000 miles. Any others experience this?

My 350 AWD 6 speed shifts a bit rough from 1-2.

i went through 3 Auto Transmissions on my old Accord and luckily, the 7th gen. wasn't too expensive to fix $2,000 including install
has anyone tried a Transmission cooler or does our Car already have a built in cooler system?

You could probably count on 1 hand the number of transmissions that have gone out on this car. It's literally bulletproof. I wouldn't worry at all about a tranny cooler.

My 200T also have this shifting "jump" in traffic and transmission is in Eco or Normal mode. It's very noticeable when shifting from 1-2 and between 5-10mph with very light on the gas pedal. At first I thought the person behind rear ended me, but thru the mirror it was a car length away. That how I figure it's the transmission thing.
I brought it to the dealer (back in 2017 when the car only have 10K miles), they acknowledge of the behavior and able to replicate it. But they said it was normal. Until today, it's still doing it. I just try to press a little harder on the gas pedal so that the tranny can shift better instead of hunting between 1st and 2nd gear which cause that sudden jump issue.

I have the same issue. After 175k km it happens to me in traffic or slow acceleration when hitting the fourth gear that it shudder. Sometimes slow to change from reverse to drive when not stopping to neutral with the shifter. Wandering if it's a bad selenoid or oil level / quality issue. Never drained the oil. I am worried since I had to have my tranny rebuilted on my 06 TL. For sure having the oil level and integrity checked is the first thing. Can we check the oil level with Techstream? I have the program and dongle. Do you recommend complète flush or partial or just add to level?
