I think it looks sharp. Not a huge fan of the light bar trend though. I don't know the
reason for holding back info on the high power version except for maybe trying to keep interest up.

I hope they are getting a new twin turbo V6 ready for introduction

Yea that's why I don't get why they don't just spill it
vs the interview saying hehe there may or may not be a higher power version Ive been testing. Not sure the marketing point of that.

They did the same thing with the IS F. 2IS owners had to wait 2 years for the IS F to show up. They wanted to make a splash with the IS350 first.

Except, this time around it isn't a complete redesign. I don't think they can afford to wait too long if they are doing this.

Short of very minor tweaks like exhaust routing or minor timing/fuel tweaks, I think there's not much tuning left Lexus could do that would make a huge difference. They work with a different set of goals than aftermarket tuners.
I think an IS500 would simply be a good way to help alleviate their performance V8 development costs since the demise of LC/GS/RC-Fs. Also it can help Lexus see if there's any interest in developing an actual real performance variant of a 4IS. And i guess overall help grab some attention from the Jalopniks of the world. Just my theories.

Speaking of colors, we desperately need a new palette for the IS. The same colors have been rehashed across the line-up for years. One of the easiest and least expensive ways to gain customer interest is some new shades. A cement gray would be a logical start.

Interesting. That white F-Sport has a very heavy metallic finish. Thought Ultra White was non-metallic, or a very subtle amount. This could be a new color for F-Sport. Also appears to be a darker red interior, like Rioja. Not the gaudy Circuit Red that was announced.

Looks good in white. Though i'd still take that GS-F hands down over both those other cars

Agree with mixing the color palette up a bit. Haven't seen the few new colors they added, sometimes manufacturers will use the same color and just give it a new name. Adding the Infrared was a good move. Offer the Nori Green on an F-Sport with Glazed Caramel like the LC and I'm in.
