1. brake flush is probably the hardest job among all those items... and will require an eye-popping 20-30 dollar investment in very sophisticated tools like a wrench and tubing with a plastic bottle.
2. oil filter and a drain plug gasket is less than 6 bucks (oem)
3. Cabin filter and air filter are 42 and 18 dollars respectively (oem)
4. brake fluid 32oz DOT3 is something like 8 bucks at walmart.
5. New batteries will sell for less than 3-4 dollars a pack

Go to an independent shop. There's no reason to go to the dealer for maintenance. Much cheaper. Your warranty will be fine.

From the list it looks like they are doing a Maintenance Service, which includes the oil and filter change and the brake fluid flush. That's the most expensive item.
Following that would be the cabin filter, air filter, and then the remote batteries.
Pricing is market driven, so really it's what they charge for that area.
I'm not sure what a Maintenance Service at my dealer costs, cause I've never done one, but an oil change is $150 CAD (tax in) out the door.
Cabin filter, with the labor, is about $100 CAD.
Air filter, with usually there is no labor charge, is about $30 CAD.
Brake fluid flush is about $150-$200 CAD.
Without the remote batteries and the actual cost of the Maintenance Service, I would be about $500 CAD, which is just under $400 US.
The Maintenance Service does include checking the brakes...like actually taking them apart and checking them. Likely they will recommend servicing them if you haven't done so yet.

I will say that's about right because you went to a lexus dealer. However, that amount can be liquidated (and reduced) if you don't do it all at the same time (you didn't need to). You could've done it separately or by yourself. Some of the "inspect" list can be done/included in a daily routine check (or perhaps weekly). Include tire pressure and check all visible fluid levels.
Like most of us here, but not all of us, got suckered with this "premium" lexus maintenance cost once, and after that, no more. No doubt, Lexus is a luxury name, but that doesn't mean you have to pay more $$ for the same maintenance a non-luxury car can get.
On top of that, you have to check youtube and watch how these what they call "lexus professionals" handle the cars getting serviced. I had a fair share of that the last time I bought my car to them, they turned off all my dashcams(seriously what's the point) right when they were about the test drive the car outside the service center.
Lost all my trust in them.

I always take a picture of the odometer reading before and after. They most likely went to a joyride...otherwise no point in disabling it.

But no in all seriousness, I went through this same exercise with my wife's car for her upcoming 60k service. I had to go and remove all the junk the dealer was "recommending", and replaced the air filter and cabin filter myself to save a few bucks.

2) I bought a Bosch Cabin Air filter online for $20 and installed myself in 5 minutes.
3) I do my oil changes with Castrol Edge Extended Performance and OEM filter. Oil costs about $45, OEM filter is around $7 & I pay my mechanic 20$ labor...less than $75 all in.
4) dealership replaces my battery in FOB for free, if they don’t for you those batteries cost a few bucks. Like a pack of 5 is $7-$10.
5) Brake fluid change at my local Lexus dealership is $114.99...I bought the fluid for around $10 and paid my mechanic $75 labor to change it.
Dont go to dealership for stuff like that. Find a good, honest, qualified mechanic that will allow you to bring the fluids and filters and just charge you labor.
Oil change, 2 filters, brake fluid change should only take any decent mechanic about 1.5 hours in terms of labor.
$700 from the dealership is disgusting. That should be illegal.

I just did my 30k mile service this past weekend. I took my car to toyota for the engine oil and brake fluid exchange. This was $220. I did the air filter and cabin filter myself.

As long as you document what was done, legally that satisfies the requirements of your warranty. This is for the US, I'm talking about.

Thanks guys. I'm well aware for the DIY option, I could do it all myself but I'm at a point in my life where I don't do that. I do have shops I can go to of course that are cheaper. I don't mind paying a little more to have the dealer do the maintenance but I don't want to get completely raped, so I was hoping to hear that maybe it's just this dealer and I should try others or that they made a mistake.
