Blue on black but only available in F sport Mica Blue. Black on black and white on black will do. I can't be too picky though...car is very hard to find.

Hello. I am in the market for a Lexus IS. Only problem I am finding in my search is that it seems the IS 350 is very rare in non f sport. The reason I cannot do F sport is the uncomfortable seats. I enjoy the power of the IS 350 versus the IS 300. I am looking for '15-'18 models due to limited budget and have concentrated on 2016. I have done research on the RR Racing tune and am curious anyone's opinion on that. Honestly I would rather find an IS 350 but could settle for an IS 300 if the tune is legit and feels like the IS 350. Also, if it doesn't negate a factory warrantee as well. Anyone with first hand knowledge I would be greatly appreciative.

The FS seats are comfortable too but not as padded. However I've never spent more than 30 minutes at a time in them in a friends car.

I’ve been these shoes, still wearing them as well. Bought an IS300AWD because I couldn’t find a base 350 awd anywhere. Mine is a ‘17, I installed the RR racing tune and can say it was well worth it. It does exactly what I wanted it to, but it isn’t a plug and play revert to back to stock as others say on the ‘17 and newer models. 2016 and older are plug and play, 17, and with 18 and up have an engine variant as well.
As far as warranty void goes, I’ve only had it serviced at my dealer and nothing has been said about the tune, replaced maf sensor and throttle body, (bad hose dirtied the maf and electrical failure on tb) although I was worried, not a peep, and warranty covered it. The tune is hard to detect under normal circumstances, tech stream has to be used and also they would have to suspect the tune then look for it. My 7200 redline is only achieved via disabling the traction control and putting it in sport mode, aside from that it behaves like the stock rev limiter with a good SOP feel. MPGs remain a bit better on highway 28-30 (70-80mph), but city still sets at 22-24.
I’d recommend the 300awd if you find one and tune it for the extra $500, if the extra power is what you’re wanting. Can I say it’s as fast as a stock 350, not without certainty as I’ve never raced one, but it is a different kind of beast with it. I hope this helps ya out.

They dont look appealing. But I drive a 65 mile+ commute everyday often in traffic and can say those seats are very comfortable. I have to be picky with my seats too at work/home/vehicles due to back issues.

The F Sport seats are still very good for long trips, don't get me wrong. My wife and I drove 8 hours from KC to Dallas not too long ago, and the seats were just fine for that. Obviously we took breaks every 2 hours or so, but you get the idea - they hold up for a full day of driving.

2014-2016 can be flashed by yourself on the fly, with a 2017 you must ship your ECU to RR Racing to program each time you want to switch the tune.
