I think you should just get the 2017 F sport for sure.
I had my radio replaced 2x on my 2015.

+1 on getting a 2017 and up.

Thanks again for the input. 2017 IS 350 AWD non- F sport seems like the right fit for me. Hoping to find one with below 40k miles for $27,000ish once more leases hit the market this year.

I’ve been reading of seriously short tread life though, like 10-15k miles. That’s ridiculous. I was expecting more along the lines of 20-30k with mild driving habits.

Good luck and keep us posted!! As for the tire wear, I think many have been installed some stiffer bushings and it has helped greatly....something to consider

Will do. There is a 2017 GS350 AWD with 49k for $31k that I’m also eyeing. The nicer interior with more space is nice honestly, but the added price and maintenance costs are somewhat harder to justify. 29/unmarried/no kids so the IS strikes a great balance.

...but the GS400 was my dream car growing up as a kid, hence the lust I’ve always had for a GS.

I like the GS but I find the interior a bit bland and not as "race inspired" cockpit compared to the IS....I find that when I am sitting in the IS, I am just wrapped around perfectly

Interesting, most people find the 2017+ front end on the F Sport way better including me lol. The tailights for the 2016 and below I do agree that they look better than the 2017+.

If you find a non f sport 2017 IS 350 AWD you win the race!! I can't find one in the US and only 2 in 500 miles within my area..and those are 2015. I am considering going with the GS cause I can't find an IS...lol. Good luck on your search!!
