Absolutely sure. Once I replaced the USRS with FIGS, the squeak went away.

That's the logical explanation, but it could the stressed part that was squeaking is now not stressed anymore upon removing the USRS?

Just to share my experience, I never had the squeaking and the NVH(maybe related) issue when I installed USRS. It just felt that other components are stressed due from hardness of the bushing.

Long story short, I went back to GSF/RCF bushing. It's really not designed for street / daily driving based on my preference.

I had the USRS bushings in my ISF for over 4 years when I sold the car last July. When I installed them I used the hard to find grease specified by and supplied by RRR. They never made any noise for me. And YES, I luved them. A GREAT addition IMHO

Thanks all - just to reiterate... the squeaking only comes from bumps in the road when the temperature is below 50 degrees!

Where can I find this grease and where do I apply it on the bushings? Could someone show me a diagram? Also, would I need to remove the bushings or can I do this cosmetically?

figs and usrs are pretty much the same - they are very solid with not a lot of give (virtually none) “bushings”. So, the argument that usrs stressed other components “downstream” while figs do not, does not really hold water.

Look into a nano technology coating for the busing that will protect it from hot/cold temperatures.

Interesting concept. If I ever have to disassemble and relube my FIGS bushings I will definitely try the teflon tape. Thanks for sharing this!

Disclaimer: I do not know if the method actually works. I am trying to decide if I wanna go with RR or figs route and needed a remedy for the problem of squeaking poly bushings. So, when searching, I came across the video and posted it.

Before you go RR or FIGS, bottom line consider this: If you are going to track your car, do it, you need it. But if not and just for the sake of experience, then you are golden with just RCF/GSF bushings(this is considered a must upgrade to prevent the inner tire wear).

I would like to have a bit less vague steering feel and ideally get rid of that wandering feel. Also, some people here who tried RCF LCA bushings, said, they still experience inner side tire wear..

Very interesting. RR Racing sells lubricant for their USRS that contains teflon.

Bushings needs to be removed for re-lubrication.
