I have had a 2016 AWD IS 350 (Not F-Sport) for a few months and when I first use my brakes in the morning, they squeak incredibly loud. I have had the dealership look at them and they reassured me that they were fine and even refinished them to “help”. However, it is still an issue. I have heard that is is a common Lexus problem with the AWD models, and that there are certain brake pads that may help.
I’m sure the dealership wouldn’t be straight up if it were time for new brake pads right away, but I was wondering if a someone could give some advice. Are there are a particular type of brake pads that would resolve this issue?
Appreciate it.

Some noises from the brake system is normal when first being driven after a cold soak...meaning parked for an extended period of time...like overnight.
Without hearing the noise it's hard to say if your noise is normal or not.
The issue is not isolated to the AWD model, more so the F Sport model...there is one TSB that had your replace the F Sport pads for the Non F Sport pads...which you already have.

There are lots of threads on this issue... Try searching the forums next time.
Short answer: it's most likely normal. My 2016 IS 300 AWD has been doing this ever since very early in its life. There are updated brake shims available - there's a TSB for that. Don't recall what the number is, but I remember it saying that it was applicable if the customer finds the noise to be "excessive".
