The F Sport is fine for daily driving, even on our terrible Midwest roads in the winter. It isn't as soft as, say, a 3-series, but I think I prefer it to be a little firmer as it is more connected to the road.

I wouldn't stress about the ride quality unless you just personally prefer a soft ride. In that case, maybe just try the two back-to-back. Honestly, I think the F Sport is worth it for the exterior/interior touches alone, especially the seats. They are some of the best seats I've ever sat in in any car.

F Sport
+1 For the seats. Indeed one of the best seats, sporty yet very comfortable. Miles better that other cars I've driven.
My personal test: my yearly vacation long road trip to west coast of Greece, over 1400 KM, 16 hours (stops and border checks included) in one day. And this was the only car that gave me the perfect comfort and managed to shave almost another hour from the total time. I say this because usually after the trip is done, I am tired and have a bit of back pain that would clear off after a while. But with these seats, nada. I was like fresh after 2 hours of driving.

Also, +1 for the looks and +1 firmer ride (personal preference) that makes you feel the road.

Funny ive had 3 people comment how much they liked the front of my car opposed to the other ones they've seen (referring to FS). One friend saying it didnt have that "bass mouth" look but preferred the more "traditional" grille on mine.

Think it was Scotry Kilmer expressing his dislike for the Lexus FS grilles too. All 4 people I refer to were 50yrs old+. I still dont think it's the popular opinion in was surprised by all haha.

As for the Seats, the non FS is very comfortable too. Looks boring as hell, but I spend long hours in those seats witha picky back and I never caused discomfort.

Do the F sport and non- f sport share the same brakes/pads/rotors? Do I need to get f-sport parts specifically?
And for tires, what are some good all season tires that I won't have to change as frequently as other IS owners?

I answered your tire question in another thread... suffice it to say, you will likely have to change tires more frequently than many other vehicles.

The F Sport high-friction pads are only offered on the rear-wheel drive variants of the IS. Obviously you could swap those on or off as you would like.

I don't remember if the 13 had adaptive cruise control or not someone correct me if so, auto power mirrors, auto climate seats, auto trunk, BSM etc. If this was a RWD f-sport it would a different case but both being AWD I don't think you are giving a lot either way performance wise. This kinda comes down to what's more important features wise for you

After owning my ISF for so long I'm a sucker for the black headliner so the f-sport was an easy choice for me along with the sporty feel
Not sure if you read the OP’s first post. It asks about 2016 models. The 13 you mention is 2nd generation, while the 15 you mention is closer, being 3rd generation like the 16.
