Extend the range of the greeting light?

Is there a way to extend the range of the greeting light (puddle lights and cabin lights turn on) when walking towards the car? It only turns on when I'm like at the rear passenger doors and that's a bit too late if there a puddle near the doors.

Not that I know of. As mentioned in your other thread, maybe the key battery is low, which is reducing the effective range of the key. That's just a shot in a dark though.

that sounds about right. Get 3ft, maybe 4ft at best. Pretty much until I'm 2 small steps from the door.

i would like to extend them for safety reasons when entering/exiting....i wouldn't recommend this style as they are not nearly as bright and for some reason...continued normal use of door opening and closing...will eventually lead to failure on this style:

i've seen a Kia with something like this on permanently while driving and SUPER bright but also super annoying to have on for other drivers as people may be thinking you are trying to change lanes:
