Default Fuel Pump Recall?

Looks like there is a Toyota/Lexus recall regarding the low pressure fuel pump. There is no fix as of now from Lexus. It states cars may stutter or turn off during driving. Anyone have any more info?

Just saw an abc news article about it. I'm assuming Lexus will send out a recall notice to register owners soon.

In the fuel tank, which is under the rear seat.

The recall seems like it more than doubled and according to the latest bulletin I saw, where affected owners were to be notified in march, now it says that people will be notified in May....Is this going to be pushed forward and forward? I don't feel comfortable driving a vehicle that has such a potentially serious issue.

I get these issues happen and no company is immune from recall, but it is how they deal with the recalls that truly makes a difference. Don't disappoint us Lexus/Toyota!

Well, the proof will be in the pudding. So far, saying there will be a recall is one thing, fixing it is another issue. Recall the unintended acceleration, many will say they swept that under the rug/carpet

The way I understood the article I read is that the people under the newest expansion of the recall will be notified in May. At this point though, there still isn't a repair that isn't the same fuel pump being recalled.

and the latest story I read, we are now up to 3.2 million vehicles?!?!

https://autofile.ca/en-ca/auto-news/...lty-fuel-pumps

Gheez, that will be interesting to see how long that will take to fix!! Between getting access to that many parts and finding spots at dealers to repair these, this will not be easy and fast!
