I have a lexus is 300 2017 fsport 2.
I was quoted 125+ tax just for the oil change at a lexus dealership. I checked a toyota dealership it was 69.99+ tax for an oil change or 150+ tax for maintenance and oil change. Is this a good price? I am a first time lexus owner.

That's pricey. I wouldn't go to the dealer unless my car was in warranty, which it is not. A good independent shop is the way to go for oil changes and
all maintenance. Enjoy the new ride!

Toyota at least gives you a mulitipoint inspection sheet when you go in for an oil change. Lexus didn't do that when I took my IS to do my free oil change at 10k. I'm personally gonna have an independent shop do my next oil change, much cheaper. I would do my own but I can't do car work since I live in a condo.

The quoted price is fair since you are going to a dealer which usually give you the assurance that they will put the correct type and amount of oil to your car.
On a side note, If you have some decent shops around you that you can see the cars while they are working on them, I would go there. You'll save half of that price quote.

If you dont have a reputable indy for your oil change or you do not DIY, toyota dealership with correct filter and oil (make sure they print out the pn for filter and oil type in the workorder) and you should be fine. Skip the maintenance.
Also is this your first oil change on your brand new vehicle/CPO vehic;e or is this a your pre-loved used vehicle?

Basically it's an oil change, with a road test, and a car wash. If the Toyota dealer is willing to do it for $70 + tax, take it to them instead. You really don't need the roadtest...and they will still wash it for you.
True you won't get a loaner car at the Toyota dealer, free of charge, but really, it's an oil change, either wait for it or worse case just utilize the shuttle service.

Based on the fact we are both in Ontario, that is the going rate for the oil change at a Lexus dealer.

In addition to repairs they also do accessories, rust proofing, have a newly acquire tire division, and tire storage. They actually have 2 buildings at the location.

On a related note, that's especially the case after many original Toyota dealerships opened a Lexus division, either side by side, or within proximity.

A bit off topic, but since it's the same parent company, many Toyota dealerships honor & demand that you go to Lexus. That's always been my experience. @ Daskng86 given that, are you certain that Toyota will service you? Plus, Lexus usually always does more than "just" an oil change.

I pay $30-40 for oil, $5-8 for filter, and I pay a local mechanic $15 to change the oil
