So just grab the front and rear LCA bushings, make sure my alignment is good, and that should mitigate this issue right? Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

^^ Yeah, stiffer LCA bushings from Lexus will help mitigate the issue...some after markets bushings from FIGS or RR Racing will be better at eliminating the inner wear and improve the handling too although some people have said these can sometime introduce a bit of road noise or harshness but I can't confirm that statement.

1. replace LCA bushings
2. new tires
3. get an alignment done
4. how much mileage on your front suspension components because if you are going to go through that whole process, if your shocks are old and worn, you may wanna get that done too since you will be spending for an alignment

Hi, just bought the LCA bushings and planning to install it when I next change my tires. Planning to change it myself, but is it very hard to do it? I do oil changes and spark plugs myself, but that's about it. Will it be way more challenging? Don't wanna get in over my head. Thanks...

A bit more challenging, but really doable. Main thing is to make sure you’ve got a big enough torque wrench, as a couple have to be torqued pretty high. Had to buy a new one myself when I installed mine.

Supero - any dealers can do that. I had mine installed at a local Toyota dealer because there aren't any Lexus dealers nearby. They had both LCA bushing installed in 0.75h at an hourly rate of 87$/h so it is not a big job for a dealer to do.

Here are the part numbers (different number for the left and right):

48075-24010
48076-24010

I am not in the GTA so you will need to check for a dealer that can do it but the Toyota dealer I went never even asked, they just installed them. If you call a dealer beforehand and you say "Listen, I just want to instally slightly stiffer LCA bushings from Lexus onto my IS, would you be able to do that?" and see what they say. Now you will need to order the parts either through lexus or external party because Toyota will not be able to order it for you/

^^ I don't have enough mileage on mine to be 100% sure if it will work. Mine is a 2021 and some have said the 2021 are less prone to this issue but I feel it would help with your 2016 for sure. The advantage with the stiffer Lexus bushing (over other brands) is that they keep the ride very close to stoke and while it will not totally eliminate the problem, it will help a lot. Some members have changed the bushings themselves so yes, any mechanic (reputable) will have no issue doing this, they just need to make sure they torque things at the appropriate levels (which I don't have at my finger tip) but a mechanic would find that info

Finally installed the RCF's LCA bushing. Do I really need to do an alignment as the steering is straight and vehicle does not veer when driving. Thanks...

As mentioned above, because your old parts were settled a certain way as well and once new parts get installed, it'll shift things a bit so it's better to get one done, mainly if you haven't had one done in a while. Even if the wheel isn't off center, your toe settings (and camber settings if you have that option for the front/rear adjustment) can still be off and or marginal enough to make your tires wear badly overtime and again new parts tend to shift things around. Even when I did mine right after I got my car from Kuni Lexus and according to the recon paperwork they had "allegedly" done one but took it to my best friend who I used to wrench with and it was off the recommended threshold. Coming up on 15k on my Fsport and tires are all wearing well. Better to spend a little bit on an alignment than hundreds on new tires every few thousands miles.
