2017 IS200t tire replacement
I got almost 24,000miles on the Bridgestone Turanza EL400 02 that were on it when I purchased it last year. I know these eat through tires. I do mostly city driving with once a month mountain drives in Southern California. What tire would you recommend that will last longer but still perform well?

Man haven't had the car 3000 miles and the inner tires are already showing wear, damn I gotta get these things replaced asap. Picked them up yesterday, super cool peeps over there at figs. Nice to have a local shop that supplies aftermarket parts.

Not much is going to last more than 20k miles, unless you go with a very non-sport oriented tire. I switched to Michelin Pilot Sport all-seasons, which got me a little more than the stock Bridgestones. They are a great tired but I just don't care for the look of the tread that wraps around the edges... it's too chunky and takes away the stock look. But overall I will stick with the Michelins, as the pros outweigh the cons.

Rotating them was one of the reasons why I switched to a square 18x9 +35ET square setup on my IS.

quick question .... who installed your bushing?
i dont know many private shops ... and my local dealership was kind of being difficult about installing RCF parts on IS. not sure if he was new or purposely redirecting me

I installed them myself. You can search for performance shops in your area too, not just for mechanic shops. If you are mechanically inclined, it's pretty easy if you have the tools....if you don't you can rent them from an auto parts stores like Autozone, Advance Auto or O'Reilly Auto Parts. Also you can go to a local car show and meet a lot of people that may be willing to help you or point you to a local shop.

This is really sad to hear. I came to this forum to get an idea of what owning a lexus is would be like in preparation for buying one. Based on the rep and the consumer satisfaction surveys it would appear that the car would be a perfect fit for me as I have a low tolerance for repeat car issues. My current Elantra Sport Turbo gets 250000 on a set before I need to change them out. I could deal with that, but everywhere I read about this issue, it seems that people are literally wasting good tires and I'm going to have to let my search continue for a luxury car. I don't want to send the message that this is okay. I'm guessing the 2021 is 350 has not been changed enough to counter this issue either? Can anyone confirm?
