2017 IS F-Sport rear tire wear
I just had a huge shock when I looked at my rear tires - before a long vacation trip. The tread on the tires was around 80% but the inside of them are worn down completely to the steel. I thought the alignment was out but it was perfect … was wondering if it has something to do with the fact that the rear tires on f-sport are larger than the base IS300 model?? Dealer said go see tire guy... I have attached some pics to see if anyone has the same issue.

yes .. its in my car. I just switched to stock 17 inch rims for IS 300 and no issues so far .. I am thinking it may have something to do with tire dimensions ?? just a thought

Nothing to do with the tire - unless you aligned the car with the 17's then put on bigger wheels/ties. I run a square 9" rim with a wider tire and my tires are fine. I'd be curious in seeing your alignment spec with 17's and then the 18's.

**UPDATE for the 2021 IS**
I called my local Lexus Parts Department a couple of weeks ago - they indicated that the LCA's are the same as previous years.
To confirm, another member here grabbed the VIN off of a new 2021 that he bought and checked with his Lexus Parts Department. The part numbers for that particular VIN are 48075-30030 and 48076-30030. Those parts are used all the way back to 2006.
In summary by factoring in the findings above, the RCF/GSF LCA bushings should work for the new 2021 IS models. Whether the 2021 IS still suffers from excessive front inner tire wear with the OEM LCA bushings is yet to be confirmed.

I was considering a CPO 350 and after reading about this inner tire issue, I called Lexus and the local Lexus service manager and they both said they were "completely unaware" of any premature inner tire wear problem LOL
The Lexus lawyers must be doing the talking for them.
I think I'll pass.

The inner tire wear problem is not going to break the bank. Just drive it and see if you like it. If you do, you'll have to decide whether it's worth it or not.

I wouldn't walk away from a car you like because of that - there are some relatively cheap fixes for this problem and trust me, you will be hard pressed to find another car that is as reliable as this. I had 2 other IS before and just bought another one (2021), it is a great car and wile not perfect, is still pretty darn good...

I also think this tire thread, from an outsiders perspective, can be a little concerning.
As most of us here have been here for a while and aware of all the little issues with the IS, I think we look at the tire wear and think "meh, whatever", cause we know it's not a big deal.
I think there is a couple things to note though:
- Not everyone has the premature tire wear issue on the front wheels...sure many have reported it, but many haven't too
- There are some easy fixes that mitigate the wear as well as actually improve the handling of the car...RCF/GSF bushings are an easy install and inexpensive
- While it's easy to blame the vehicle 100%, owners do have the responsibility of checking tire pressures, getting alignments done, and their own driving style

^^ Couldn't have said it better.
BTW - I have ordered mine today and will install when they get here in a couple of weeks and report back to the forum on how they fit on the 2021

recently purchase a 2018 IS300 (non f sport). Saw the uneven tire wear during test drive thought it was a previous owner thing - drive aggressively
Is this the correct part? https://shopfigs.com/v3/by-vehicle/c...-3GS%20AWDLCA1
Thanks a bunch folks!

OR get these as a complete assembly and they're very easy to replace honestly.

I used the OEM brackets and pressed the new set of Figs bushings on there and saved me about $120 over the whole assembly but it's up to you honestly, also helped me that Figs is actually local to me so that also saved me money in shipping.
