Not sure if I should get a chrome delete with the roof wrap, needs opinions
Hey guys, I have an appointment on Wednesday for a vinyl black roof wrap and a chrome delete. Not sure if I want to get the chrome delete because:
1) I don't think it looks too bad on a white car
2) I don't know if $275 can justify wrapping a few door trims + front grill in gloss black
Will it make an effect visually? Maybe someone can sway me to do it. I was thinking of going a dark smoke / vinyl black on the chrome delete.

Here is my Eminent White IS with black gloss roof wrap with NO chrome delete for reference. For what is worth, I got quoted over $300 for the chrome delete in San Diego, so $175 sounds like a good deal.

Looks really good.. The chrome doesn't look that bad to me, I feel like on a white car it looks fine, gives it some edge. I am currently a full time student so my budget is tight

To the OP, I vote get the chrome delete done. Yes it makes a big big difference imo.

I did do the grille myself. In some ways more difficult but I was having a hard time working around the plastic and rubber window moldings for the window trim. Even with new blades and cutting tape.

That highly depends on your preference, but seeing that you are considering about it, I feel that you will most likely love the end results. I was quoted around 300 for the window and 200 for the front, so like HOMER350, I ended up buying some precut on ebay and doing it myself.
It was definitely not easy especially if you have not done it before and are not used to it, but its definitely not a hard thing to do with precut. I would recommend doing it for the experience!

i wrapped the chrome trim on a BMW G20 the other week. came out looking great.
This particular piece in the rear was a bit tricky and required a bit of special technique. a month later and several car washes and rain and no peeling.

I highly recommend it - you won’t regret it. I was on the fence because I felt the chrome still looked “alright” with the white car but I’m very glad I decided to pull the trigger and get the trim wrapped gloss black. Cost me around $300 which included some custom front and rear badge work. I got a little lucky on price, though.
With the black roof it just looks so “right” to get rid of the chrome.

Thanks! it's a work in progress.
The rear "lip" is the NIA rear diffuser extension. Looks even better coupled with their "Rear Spats" which I have on order!
I'm not lowered; However, I have RSR Down springs I'm going to have installed on the front of the car in the next few weeks (just front drop, not rear).
