What about the Power Outlet in the center console? Are you able to use that instead?

I've been using this inverter in my car the past couple of weeks for work stuff. It works well to power normal household 110-240 VAC plugs.

It still brings us back to the Power Outlet however...as the wires that feed the Power Outlet are 12V and Ground.
If you don't want to plug into the Power Outlet, then tap into the wires that feed the Power Outlet. That way the circuit will still be fused (10A) in the event whatever you plug into the Inverter draws over amperage.
Maybe if we knew what you wanted to plug into the Inverter it might help to give a better option as to a solution.
