Default Lowering Springs Setup

Was looking to lower my 2015 IS250 Fsport and saw some RS-R half down. Could you guys recommend some aftermarket shocks to pair with the springs. Also possibly looking into some spacers as well.

How so? He’s got a 2015 IS250, that’s a 3rd gen IS.

I’m guessing he thinks it should go under the suspension/brakes forum

It was posted in the IS-F forum and moved here.

RSR lowering springs are made to work with the OEM shocks just a heads up

Not much options for aftermarket struts/shocks.
If you're only going with Half Downs I wouldn't bother...you likely won't notice a change in ride comfort.

@DaveGS4 Just a suggestion from a humble forum member, but perhaps when Mods move a thread you can post a comment on the thread (like the one you did after someone asked) something along the lines of "Thread moved from wherever to here"
For us mere mortal forum members, it just looks like it was posted here in the first place and wasn't moved from anywhere as there are no indicators it's a moved thread. More importantly it would benefit the thread starter so they know for future threads they may start.

It's not lost. The thread starter gets a PM saying 'hey, your thread was moved and here's a link' as well as what's called a 'redirect' that shows a little link to this thread in the IS-F forum if they go there directly without looking at their PM. The redirect expires after a period of time (if I use the PM the member feature I usually only make the redirect stick around for a day or two).

Sometimes I (or the moderators) will prune the 'you posted in the wrong place' posts if they get posted but you know we're all humble volunteers and have lives of our own and sometimes don't have time to do that right at that moment. It's more important to get the thread to the right spot and the cleanup takes more time and when busy it is lower priority.

@DaveGS4 Thanks for the info Dave and we certainly all appreciate the volunteer time of all the Mods to keep the forum going.
If there is opportunity for others to volunteer, I'm sure there are some of us on here frequently enough to devote time to the efforts of keeping the forum running smoothly.
Please let us know if that opportunity exists.

He had originally posted on the ISF forums. Glad he got moved to the correct place so he can get a proper answer.

Thanks for all the input guys. I ended up purchasing some RSR Downs and having them installed Monday.

Yeah I was just about to say half downs look like they barely make a difference

Keep us posted and make sure to post pictures, I ended up installing lowering springs on my RC and it TOTALLY transformed the car in a good way

I have been running RSR Down springs for over a year now and I have 0 regrets. I will be going with coil overs next but that’s a few years from now. I think you’ll be satisfied.
