Default Caviar finish self healing?

I am very careful with my Caviar finish.
I don’t park under trees, and keep it waxed.

Although I was not under a tree, I noticed about six big globs
of pollen (pine?) after a windy rainstorm. It was kind of dry/caked, so
I didn’t want to just blot it off. I washed the car within a day.
Each glob left a mark, similar to a water spot.
I tried the usual treatments, including a gentle
dab of isopropanol, wax, etc. Nothing worked.
However several days later, the spots were gone?
Great, but how did that happen?
