Hi, I have got my 2017 is300 rear bumper scratched. The dealer told me they can not promise 100% color match for the paint recover. There is someone selling rear bumper cover same with my color (from a total damaged 2015 is300). Is there anyone know is the 2017 is300 rear bumper cover same as the 2015 is300?

Nope I doubt they are the same the exhaust tips look completely different.

 

I think the bumper is the same pretty much but the diffuser on the bottom, where the exhaust outlets, is different. You dont want to do it. I think a bumper from 2015 painted same color would have the same chances as an exact match to your 2017 anyways. Just have them repaint if it were me. Can't ever get paint to technically be 100% exact. Even if its off by .02%, each batch is unique to some degree. At least that's my understanding of how paint works.

 

Bumper is the same...diffusers are different, but they can be swapped without issue...it's plug and play.
The color may vary slightly as the bumper is 2 years older...but you never know, the vehicle it was on could have been garage kept when not driven and the color match could be almost exact.

 

I would recommend bringing your car to a body shop that does work on high end cars; not the dealer. I have a ‘18 bLue fsport which is a very hard color to color match, had a nasty rock chip on my hood That went down to the aluminum ( through the primer!) and brought it to a high end shop. they had to repaint my entire hood and blend the fenders. You would NEVER know!
