radio and screen doesn't turn on immediately but 10min later
HI Guys,
I have a 2015 Lexus IS350 F sport and have an issue with my Mark Levinson and screen, it doesn't turn on sometimes when I turn on my car, however it is not consistent. When I leave my car out for a bit say 1-2hrs I come back and turn on my vehicle the sound system starts fine, but if I drive for a bit and then get gas, turn back on the car the screen and sound system doesn't turn on until I a bit of driving (there is no set time)
this is a very weird problem and I don't think it is the fuse, as the screen would be permanently off if the fuse is blown. I think it maybe loose wiring but don't know where to start and check - if anyone has any similar experiences,

This is happening to me as well, I have noticed that the screen turns on when the engine becomes warm for some reason. I have already tried to disconnect battery and reboot the the display, but the problem persists. Its happening on my ES 300H

Happens to me too. I leave the car overnight and it’ll work fine. Leave it at the train station all day, it’ll work when I come back. Drive the car for 20m, stop, then get back? It doesn’t work. Also seems to not work if the weather is warm rather than cold. Cold seems to make it more likely to work.
i also have ML. When this happens, the red light is initially not on the headunit. At some point it will boot and usually fail which then the red light comes on. If it fails to boot, it’ll often try again and still fail. Then it’ll be a black screen. Eventually it will try to cycle again. Sometimes it catches and works, other times it doesn’t.
when it works, it works fine. When it doesn’t though, it really doesn’t. It’s gotten to the point where I lock the car with the key while running to stop off at my coffee spot in the morning because I want to use my radio during my hour drive to work lol. Sounds like it could be a capacitor for me but unsure. Reading this forum it seems a headunit replacement is in order. They cost a fortune though which means we either get it repaired with someone like united radio, buy one off a scrap car, or replace with a rebuilt unit from pioneer from Lexus.
