As much as I love the Lexus IS, it most definitely does not beat the Germans Performace wise or technology wise or even inside quality. Even if it has a V8, the German performance counter parts will slap the IS silly 😝

Well, the mid-end M340 does the 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. I believe thats faster than any F model by quite a bit. I'm not even going to compare to the true M models

Lol, fanboyism at it's finest. Numbers don't lie. I love Lexus, but they don't beat anyone in anything except reliability.

It beats them in reliability and lack of maintenance, and that is it. Germans beat it in every other department. I love my IS350 but it's slow, transmission is old school, and the tech is god-awful. The 2021 model is the same regurgitated chassis and drivetrain with some new lipstick on it. Thankfully they moved to CarPlay.

The Type S will only be the 3rd or 4th fastest car in its price range too. How the competition has stepped up.

Absolutely no way the IS will beat out the TLX Type S.

Agreed. I had a TL(2004) for 11 yrs and I talked that car up like it was the best thing I’ve ever owned then I bought a 15 AWD FSport...I will say the TL was high school and the Lexus was graduate school. Not even close in fit/finish and power. Can’t see myself getting rid of my car for 10 yrs at least

^ this is why it's perplexing that uninformed &/or ignorant peeps are so hyped up about some TLX they've never even test driven, and TRYING to compare a $30k ho hum drum car to a $50k IS. The TL (did the same peeps ever even test drive TL?) is crap relative to IS350 which prolly also applies to TLX. Also, Acura offers no RWD - best ya can do is AWD - "oooh well hey guess what - we tuned the TLX so 70% of the power can "transfer" to the rear wheels". lol. Might as well get a new Camry...
