How often are you changing your battery?

I drive a 2015 IS that had the battery replaced in April 2018. Fast forward to 2020, service advisor said that battery failed test and recommended replacing again. I was told that Lexus did study and found that the battery life for Texas is around 2 ~ 3 years on average. My old Honda battery lasted over 5 years before needing to be replaced. Is 2 years too quick to replacing battery? I’m seriously considering installing a battery tender to maintain battery life but is it worth it? TIA

I don't have any records of my CPO 2016 IS having a battery replaced. It dies after 10-20 mins of accessory/radio on without engine on, but it starts up like a champ still.

I have lived in Phoenix for the last 19 years, and I have had to replace my batteries about every 2-3 years. My 2014 IS 250 that I have had since new, is on it's 3rd battery. In L.A. where I'm from, I never had to replace my car batteries this often. TX is like AZ, hot climate.

My service records show that my 16 had its battery changed just before I bought it in 18, apparently it was failing the test when they were inspecting it. I'm planning on changing it in the next year or so. In most of my cars, my batteries have gone 2-3 years on average too.

Never replaced mine. My 2015 still has the original Panasonic battery. Car was manufactured and shipped out of Japan back in August 2014.... so 6 years old this month!

I have a 2015 IS; replaced with a Costco Interstate battery in Sept. 2019 with ~36K miles. I do have an aftermarket amp installed but honestly I can't remember why I replaced the battery. It might've been just preventative maintenance and peace of mind as another car of ours had its battery die.
