Anyone's Lexus IS 200t (2016) air conditioner blowing hot air
According to this CL poster ...
Anyone that owns a Lexus IS 200t (2016) and has problems with the air conditioner blowing hot air from the passenger or driver side should go to the Lexus dealer. They will pay for everything and fix the problem. Trust me, don't do anything stupid go to the dealer even if your warranty is over. There are two solutions to this problem programming or changing the switch that changes the temperature. but make sure it is the switch and not programing because sometimes the programing can only work for a couple of months.

I tried this and no luck. Car is blowing hot air like I set it on the highest setting with the AC on the coldest setting on front vents. Whats weird is when i set it on face and feet, feet will blow cold air while front blows hot heat with the AC on.
Dealer refilled freon since they said it was low. Had it filled last year but due to the AC compressor not kicking on.
Back to the dealer it goes

I think something about reinitializing something something with computer. Once these cars are out of warranty, this will probably be minimum two hours book time, or roughly $200 to get this reinitialized every time. Disheartening for such a new(er) Lexus. Let us know what fixes it so we gather more data. I did read some other people actually had to have some blend door servo motors replaced which were $2,000 out of warranty but luckily they still had warranty.. but that was years ago.

If i am hoping my extended warranty covers that otherwise i will be selling the car...have had too many issues with mine and am over it.

An update- dealer opened up the dash and found rodent droppings and other related rodent crap in there. My advisor said my warranty company will likely send out a inspector to look over the diagnosis and might deny the claim due the rodent droppings. They mentioned to fix it out of pocket would be closer to 2500$.
