There are two solutions to this problem programming or changing the switch that changes the temperature. but make sure it is the switch and not programing because sometimes the programing can only work for a couple of months.

Watch this video from 1:30 to 2:40 to see how he solved this exact problem after getting instructions from a lexus tech.

If the hot air is blowing from just 1 vent I can attest that the solution in the video works. My driver side vent was blowing hot air while the rest of the vents were working normally and disconnecting my battery for 10 minutes fixed the problem.

I tried this and no luck. Car is blowing hot air like I set it on the highest setting with the AC on the coldest setting on front vents. Whats weird is when i set it on face and feet, feet will blow cold air while front blows hot heat with the AC on.

Dealer refilled freon since they said it was low. Had it filled last year but due to the AC compressor not kicking on.

Back to the dealer it goes

I think something about reinitializing something something with computer. Once these cars are out of warranty, this will probably be minimum two hours book time, or roughly $200 to get this reinitialized every time. Disheartening for such a new(er) Lexus. Let us know what fixes it so we gather more data. I did read some other people actually had to have some blend door servo motors replaced which were $2,000 out of warranty but luckily they still had warranty.. but that was years ago.

Yeah i searched the forum and found the issues but no fixes. And yes definitely DISAPPOINTING considering my 06 corolla with roll down windows had colder AC that this car at 160k that was never once refilled with freon.

If i am hoping my extended warranty covers that otherwise i will be selling the car...have had too many issues with mine and am over it.

I had a 2015 350 FSport with this issue that occurred just out of warranty. I always have the AC on cold and switched the temp to heat one winter but it remained hot after I readjusted the temp back to cold. The dealer tried the reinitializing procedure but it did not work. They wanted to charge me over $3,000 to replace the servos. I only used heat twice in my ownership and convinced them that this must have been due to a factory defect. They ended up replacing the server motors as a goodwill (no charge). This is a known failure mode on Lexuses.

An update- dealer opened up the dash and found rodent droppings and other related rodent crap in there. My advisor said my warranty company will likely send out a inspector to look over the diagnosis and might deny the claim due the rodent droppings. They mentioned to fix it out of pocket would be closer to 2500$.
