Default received recall notice for low fuel sensor

Is that the reason why the gas pump won't continue filling until it's full? Most of my previous cars, when i go to get gas, i can put the handle in, raise the lever to hold back the release until the gas tank is full and it'll click to auto shut off....but on my car since i bought it used, i've never been able to do this. I always have to manually hold the pump all the way till it's full...is this the sensor that's causing this issue?

I have an appointment to get the recall done and i'm hoping this will be the fix...haha. of course also not to have the car stall suddenly, etc.

Similar thing happened to me when I put the filler handle into the neck "too far".
Pulling the handle back about an inch when the pump stops prematurely was worked for me,
After I repositioned the filler this way the tank went full without further intervention.

Super common issue, mine does it. Like you said, pulling it back an inch and it pumps fine.
i never knew there was a recall though. Never heard anyone mention that.
