That is a really great upgrade. The matte black plastic that's there on the car from stock is pretty boring and not quite up to the rest of the interior's standards. The carbon looks much nicer there.

Unpopular opinion, I don't like the fact that the buttons aren't flush anymore. It literally looks like you have a big carbon fiber sticker over your center console

I also put the carbon fiber on mine, identical in fact, and what the video doesn't show is that the layover is about 1/16th of an inch above the buttons. This can be seen in person, but pics don't pick up the differences in depth. In addition, the video doesn't highlight how the carved out pieces for the buttons and labels are off by 1/32" or so, so now some of the labels don't completely show up. It now looks cheap and busy. And once it's on, it won't come off since the tape is fairly permanent.

For those considering this, don't do it.

I forgot his exact handle on Instagram, but someone who goes by Elvin, he makes real carbon fiber replacement trims for different Lexus models. That's what I would go with if I were to do anything carbon fiber interior related. Don't currently have the funds and also the fact my car is a non F sport makes me not want to do any more modifications than I have already done -- those who want to go this route and have it look proper, hit him up (pretty sure he has an account on CL).

Elvin makes great product, but he is very expensive. I did buy one of his shift *****, very happy with it. I think I'd probably go with wrapping my center console vs this overlay.

His Instagram is @Elvin_6188. I love his stuff. I've bought some stuff from him, and although he isn't cheap his work is excellent. I also want to get interior trims made by him one day.

I completely agree with you, I just didn't want to be the one to say it lol, to each their own, but yes, it looks like someone put a huge carbon fiber sticker on, which is exactly what it is. I also can't help but find it ironic to actually add weight (albeit very little, but it's the gist) with the intent to make it look lighter... To me, carbon fiber wraps, vinyls, and stickers can occasionally look nice but still are kinda like a fake Rolex, and very ingenuine. But that is just me, I don't want anyone to think I am making fun of their tastes, because that is not the case.
