I don't.. the rectangular vents are from the LFA design which suit the IS more IMO

I am with you. The LFA design elements were one of my favorite things about the car. I guess it's nice to change up the styling, but they could have pulled it off similarly to how the RC did it with horizontal theming.

I like the vents being rectangular throughout, flows more nicely with the dash design.

Now I'm just trying to find myself a 2019+ RC center clock and register assembly and the matching side vents

agreed except for the transmission. the LFA could be an instant success if they just relaunched with a retuned Aisin 10AT or just bought ZF's 8 or 10 speed.

That car is insanely expensive for Lexus to produce... They'd never revisit it. I think the LC 500 is the closest we'll get for the foreseeable future. The LFA is definitely something I like seeing referenced in all their "F Sport" models though. I still miss my F Sport gauges from time to time. They were ahead of their time.

The previous 18" F-Sport wheels are also LFA inspired, and look better in my opinion.

I don't care for the Mercedes influence (if any). I'm sure most people have probably seen this by now... but the round outboard vents were intended to be a throwback to the first IS.
