Default Time for a new battery?

I'm still on my original 2015 Panasonic battery. Left my car alone for 2 months, and it is dead. Battery has previously died 2 or 3 times before now. First time from my dash cam. 2nd because of my brother. 3rd, can't remember.

About to embark on a roadtrip from Miami back to California.

Should I jus get a new one even if they are able to recharge this?

A new one is probably the best idea...you've gotten more than the expected service life out of the original battery, even with 2-3 discharge hits.
The original battery serviced you well, time for a fresh one.

I'd say your battery served you well. Get a new one. My Optima red top lasted less than 3 years, so, I wouldn't suggest getting one. lol

If your car sits for long periods you may want a battery tender. mine will go dead if it sits for more than a few days without driving it.

Hello Walmart Everstart!
Had I not gotten a new battery under the battery warranty, that's the exact battery that I was going to get.

I had the dealer replace my 3yo original Lexus battery with a new Lexus battery.
Great investment. The IS is cheap to maintain,
so overall not a big investment. IMHO, YMMV.

I had AAA come to my house and replace the battery when it was weak last year.

my Panasonic OEM died at 6 years... Canadian weather also. Hot as hell in summer and arctic weather in winter...
Never died a single time, never had to boost it, never failed to start once. Those are some seriously good batteries. Left interior lights on multiple times overnight to.

There are only so many battery manufacturers. I personally just go to rural king, and buy a $55-$65 batt that lasts me 3-4 years, and am fine with it not being name brand (they are rebadged Exides), and they come with a 2 year warranty. I usually use OEM parts on my car, but when it comes to the battery, there is a lot of rebadging going on, and the cheap ones seem to be just as good for people with OEM electrical car needs, as the expensive ones.

I'm am all for paying a premium price for a premium product, but not every part always needs to be premium.

Just surprised the IS doesn’t have an auto off for interior lights left on?
I guess not.
