Default 2014 IS250 navigational screen

I’ve been having a lot of trouble lately with my navigational screen not working properly. Recently, I hopped in my car leaving from lunch break and notice my navigational screen was stuck in the start up video, looping endlessly.
Lexus support told me to hold the radio power button down for 7-10 second to let it reboot. This didn’t work. Next they tell me to disconnect my battery for 30 minutes and turn the car over. This didn’t work. My endless start up video now became a black screen that’d turn on, blank and black, then shut off 3 seconds later. I also noticed the USB ports stopped working as well. They charge my phone when that black screen pops up and they stop charging as soon at the black screen turns off. Since this happened, Ive been getting a message probably 1-2 a week that pops up briefly saying “checking map disc” or something like that. Then they say I need to check to make sure my connections to the back of the screen were secure. They were. After this, they told me to take it in to a Lexus dealer which I did. They wanted $2200 to fix the screen because it had “gone out and needed replaced.” Couple weeks down the road, I ordered a brand new radio for it and get it plugged for it to only do the same exact thing. That blank black screen turning on and off.

I have my second appointment to bring her in to the dealership on Saturday. Has anyone seen this before? What fixed it? It kinda scares me going in to a dealer who “told me what the problem was” when it turns out the screen may not be the problem.

Welcome to the forum!

There are several threads on here that describe each issue you've been having.
At the end of them all the issue is the radio.
The display is just a display, it's the equivalent of a monitor for a desktop computer...in this scenario the radio is the desktop. The display just shows you what the radio tells it to show you.
I'm not sure if there was a miscommunication with the dealer, but the price they quoted you ($2200) is for the radio, not the display screen.

You mentioned you replaced the radio with a brand new unit. Where did this unit come from?

wow I have been having the same exact issue. I also did notice every time that the radio reboots or resets, the lights inside the center console where the usb ports are, lose power. I can literally hear a click each time it reboots and my ports shut off. I took apart my entire center console all the way up to the screen and see nothing wrong. I also did notice that if I hit a hard enough pothole or just a bump, even a smack to the radio or the sides of it, will cause the reset. I took mine apart a week ago and the resets have minimized but still occurs time to time, before this I was stuck in the loop like you and no radio function at all, it would reset before it even finished starting up. If you find out what the issue is man let me know and goodluck!

The issue is the radio.
I realize the OP said they replaced the radio, but without specifics on where they got the radio, it's possible the replacement radio was also defective.
