Trunk Latch Issues

Trunk Latch Issues
Has anyone had to fix an issue with their trunk not opening? I was putting some stuff into the trunk a few days ago and shut the trunk like an idiot and there must have been some stuff in the way of the hinge. I don't think I damaged the hinge or arm or anything but it wont open. I've tried having a look from the inside but I figured I would reach out here to see if anyone has had the same issue? I can also take some pictures if that will help.
Im sure someone out there has done this since they designed the trunk with the exposed hinges (horribly in my opinion). Is it something I should bring to the dealership and have them do. I am hoping I don't have to do that.

When you say you can't open it, do you mean the trunk will unlatch, just won't physically swing upwards to open? Or that the trunk lid won't even unlatch?
Pics wouldn't hurt.

That’s a good point I should have clarified. There aren’t any issues with the trunk latching / opening. But the left elbow (or whatever you call them) refuse to allow the trunk to open. Will send pics in a few. Thanks in advanced bud!

I usually dont like to post before trying to fix it, but I went out to take some pics and decided to mess around with it a bit, and was able to fix it. Thanks for the quick response though. Turns out I had to pull back this lever to the point it felt like I was breaking it. I dont know if you can attach videos as an attachment but I took one for those interested. The hinge got all messed up when it shut and slid way out of place. I had to manage to open the trunk and prop it open, and then pull a pin back into place (I was so worried that if I let go it would have spring shut and mess me up lol

It's resolved, that's all that matters.
Some have had success posting links to vids that are in some type of cloud.
The other option is to just post on Youtube and link here.
