Default Can I have two different tire editions on my car?

So about six months ago I bought a set of a/s 3+ for the front of my car knowing they had to be replaced soon, however michelin cancelled production of the a/s 3+ and is now making the a/s 4. My question is can I run the a/s 3+ I have in the front and run the new a/s 4 in the rear. I dont think this would be an issue since they are the same lineup of tire just a different "edition"? Was wondering if someone with more tire knowledge could give me some info before I go ahead and order some a/s 4's now that my tires need to be replaced.

people are going to say it's not good for the AWD or that it's unsafe. I run hankook ventus v2 upfront and another edition of a hankook tire in the rear (they didn't have my size)-- you should be fine because the michelin is a really good tire. You always want to have the better tire in the rear which in this case you do. Just try to match the tire up front next time you get it.

I had the OEM tires (bridgestone turanza) in the rear and Michelin A/S3+ tire up front and lost control in the rear when I was sliding one time but that's because the Turanza tires are complete trash.
